Meet Miranda...

G'day!

Well, I am a cancer survivor. Lover of Music. Optimistic dreamer. I love the moon, the stars and the ocean. My favourite places are a beach in Tasmania, Harlech Castle in Wales, Florence Italy, and the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. Grateful for my friends, my pets, Pez and Jelly Babies. I am an Australian living far from home.

I love to create and my materials of choice are many and varied. I have been painting and making jewelry in one form or other since high school. Most importantly I love to play with color and have been in love with color for as long as I can remember. I love bold, confident colours and am eternally fascinated by the successful combination of colour - like a perfectly timed dance, when they mingle together in complete harmony, it's magical to watch. I particularly love glass, because of the way it lets light flow through the colours to make them more vibrant and alive.  

Very rarely will I sketch out an idea on paper, usually I just 'see" the idea in my head and that becomes my blueprint. I can imagine each piece as I intend for it to be, long before I even begin the project.

I have been making the hand painted glassware, bottles, glasses and such, since about 1990.  My styles have changed over the years, but I particularly like my latest designs.  I am also completely giddy over the assemblage resin pendants I am creating.  Each one is an original one-of-a-kind, it's own special little captured world.
